Jacob's 9 month check-up

On October 2, 2009 Jacob had his 9 month check-up. Here are the numbers:

Weight 21 lbs 11 oz. 70th percentile
Height 28 1/4" 50th percentile
Head 19" >95th percentile

His head is still off the charts... but this is no surprise because he is my son! He got his first round of Polio shots on this visit.

Jacob is growing so fast it is amazing... He is really doing a great job with walking behind his little buggy. Sunday night he had pot roast for the first time and loved it so much him and daddy had it again tonight. This weekend he learned touchdown. He is starting to throw (well roll) his baseball --- thanks Uncle Frank and Aunt Charlice! But for all of you that are wondering he is still NOT sleeping through the night.
Jacob got his first experience with discipline last night. He kept going to the bookshelf and knocking things off. After being told over and over again "No Touch" he got a little pop on his bottom side from daddy. Of course it hurt his feelings more than it actually hurt him, he looked at me like "what the hell did you do that for"... after a few seconds of fussing he was back playing. Of course the moral to the story is that we need to do a better job a baby proofing!

I have been fighting a cold that has worked into my chest and has really been kicking my butt.
Hopefully I will be able to fight through it soon because it really has not been much fun.

Life around the Saunders House gets more interesting by the day(in a good way of course)... Jacob is really starting to develop his own personality
