Why I am not a nail technician...

                                                                            nail.jpg

Tonight Daddy tried to cut Jacob's finger nails because they were like little razors that were attacking his face and his mommy.  I did alright on the first hand but the second I started to clip his middle finger, he moved his finger just enough right as I was clamping down. When he did I ended up clipping all skin.  Of course Jacob started crying and the blood started to pour. Daddy had snipped his boys finger tip (as shown in the picture above).
After the traumatic injury he was pacified with some grub (aka - Mama's Juice).  The pictures below show that he survived the misfire with the nail clippers. I don't think daddy will be cutting his finger nails anytime in the near future.

Oh, I have done that a million times...and actually still do it occassionally when they jerk their hand away. It seems like the bleeding will NEVER stop! Sometimes baby scissors work better for some...and their nails are still so soft right now (and razor sharp!)
He is getting so big! Looking forward to dinner tonight!

Did you pass out at the sight of the blood?

I am surprisingly good at clipping little finger nails, call me next time and I'll be glad to help!

To add - the reason why I'm good at nails is NOT because I'm Asian either. HAHAHA! But a quick tip, pull the fingers back from the nail, and use a real nail clipper (not itty bitty baby ones), it fits better for adults hand so that you have a better grip.
