2010??? Where are all the posts....

Well let's see, this year has been a little busy to say the least and i figured I should go ahead and get this back up and running so we can post pictures for the remainder of the year as I am going to want this for documentation purposes!

We found out on February 1st that Jacob would be joined by a sibling sometime in October, and it was confirmed on a trip to the doctor that we would be having another baby due October 13th. Since then, we have been through a lot to say the least.

My son has gone from a one year old to a 20 month old...and it just keeps getting more fun. He is full of life, fun, words, and phrases and is constant entertainment for all around him. Abbey is still taking care of him during the day although I am afraid our 9 month run with her will find its' days numbered as I have to find another nanny to care for him and Grayson. While we are on that topic....

We have decided on the name Grayson Lloyd for baby boy #2, Grayson because we like it...Just like we liked the name Jacob, and Lloyd after my dear father who we lost on July 13th. If there is something I can to do to pay tribute to my dad's life, it is to name my child after him. Thank you Jeff for once again coming up with a brilliant name--with my help of course.

We haven't posted in so long, and have been quite poor with picture taking this year so whereas my entire pregnancy was documented with each few weeks of my "growth" before, there are very few belly shots of this baby. I will make sure we take one this week and post it.

I am officially starting week 34 on Wednesday but seeing as how Grayson is consistently being sized about 4-6 days larger we are gonna say that Sundays start my week and I am at week 34 today. I wonder sometimes how I am going to make it another 5 or 6, but good things come to those who wait, and those who wait with her get to listen to the aches and pains complaints. I am definitely bigger than I was with Jacob in the belly and have been showing since week 8 or so. People dropped their jaws months ago when I told them I was due in October as I have always looked farther along than I am to most folks anyways.

I should document how this pregnancy has been different in many ways. The nausea lasted until week 18 or so--we were sure it was a girl based on that. This baby is a gymnist and is so incredibly strong---I don't remember Jacob's movements being this pronounced, frequent, or jolting. I have a hunch this child is going to be even busier than the one I have now.

I feel that we have already been through a lot together as he has been with me and along for the ride during a very emotional time at the end of my father's life, and then just for funzies, the virus I got during my father's funeral, which put us in the hospital for 4 days. sick for more than 10, and then recovering for more than 2 weeks. We have been through a lot together and I can't wait to meet this special child. His opa is looking over him, I know it. Jacob does too. I just wish Grayson and his Opa would have had the chance to meet--that was probably one of the hardest parts of letting my father go; however hopefully my dad will now truly appreciate who my children are and see me as a mother rather than through the eyes of dementia which took him from us years ago.

What an emotional year it has been, and I can only anticipate that the birth of this child will be uncomparable for a lot of us in the family. My pregnant belly made me a poster child for my father's lifelong committment to healthy women, pregnancies, babies, and birth and it was somehow surreal that I was a "model" for his employment during his last days and ultimate demise.

All I can say is that we are blessed. I am blessed to have such a wonderful family, to have a husband who through his growing and developing business (separate post) has been so extremely supportive of us and has managed the stress well...most of the time :-) And who afterall, is my rock. My everything. Thank you husband.

So...we will get better with the pics because we HAVE to document this baby like we did Jacob during delivery and beyond and facebook just ain't the forum for all of that...
