***Monday, December 29, 2008 @ 8:15am***

So a lot of things have gone on in the last day or so here in the world of The Saunders Family.  I first want to thank Auntie Kara for coming over to help Holly and Jacob for a few hours so I could go get a change of clothes and get a few things straight for Mommy and Jacob to come home.
Holly is slowly progressing after the C-Section (with the aide of some good medication). She is has been able to get up and walk to the bathroom. We even walked to and from the nursery yesterday, which was the first time that Holly had been out of the room since she arrived.  Jacob is starting to learn how to feed, for those of you that have never experienced this process, it has its peaks and valleys. One feeding (which is every two hours during the day and every three hours at night) he will just latch and take care of business. On other feedings he just can't "latch" and gets very frustrated.  Mommy is doing a very good job and is being very patient getting through trials and errors of nursing.
Holly got to take her first shower early in the morning on Sunday (12:30am to be exact) and has had another one since.  Another step of progress for mommy after having a C-Section. The things that you take for granite on a day to day basis.
Yesterday Jacob got circumcized and apparently handled it like a real champ.  They give him a pacifier...

A prime example of how things are going  around here I started this at 8:15am and I had to stop until 10:45am to finish this post. I will finish posting when I have a free moment, but the good news is that the little man is coming home today!

I'm glad things are settling down. Pretty soon, the nursing thing will come very second nature for Holly. Hang in there! I can't wait to see you all! I remember feeling him kick around in Holly's belly - it'll be good to finally meet this little guy.

I'm glad to hear things are progressing and that you're coming home today. Yea! How exciting it is to have a little one at home. I remember the trials I had nursing Emily. I don't think either of us really got the hang of it. That's why I decided not to nurse Stewart.

Sending you well wishes during your transition with Jacob at home.

He's beautiful!

Love ya'll,
